    Hey everyone. This is Darin Kidd. Listen, can you believe that we are the last day? It is New Year’s Eve getting ready to close out 2020 and kick off a brand new year. Let me know. Are you excited to crush 2021? And here’s what I know. The same thinking and behaviors that got us to where we are right now are not the same thinking and behaviors that will get us to the next level. So to get something different in 2021, we’ve got to be willing to think differently, we’ve got to be willing to behave differently, create some new habits. And I’m excited to share some things with you on here today to help you have more success and make more money in 2021.

Good morning. All right. Let’s talk about this. Number one and for those that are newer to following me because we have grown by tens of thousands. I know I’ll put up a post on Facebook here a little while ago, and I think it had a hundred shares within the last first 30 minutes. And so we’re growing at a rapid pace, which tells me number one, people are looking to change. They’re looking to have a better life.

    They know that network marketing, being an entrepreneur and know we’ve got people on here that are network marketers that are real estate agents, brokers, mortgage industry, and everything in-between that people know, “Hey, look if it’s to be, it’s going to be up to me. It’s not going to be the government. It’s not going to be whatever president we have.” And most likely the vehicle that they have right now, they realize that, “Hey, it may not get me to where I want to be.” And so people are looking more than ever before and they’re more open-minded and they’re like, “You know what? Being an entrepreneur sounds pretty exciting.”

    Now let me just warn you being an entrepreneur, here’s the way it works. A job in the beginning is easy and this may not be for everyone, for me it was. But later on it became very hard when I got laid off and I knew that were never going to pay me what I deserved and what I felt like I was worth. So it was easy in the beginning then it became hard. Being an entrepreneur is the opposite. In the beginning, it’s very tough, right? But it’s things you can do, but it’s hard in the beginning and you have the potential to be easy later when you build an organization, when you create leverage, that allows you to have the ability to do what you want when you want and grow your income from your smartphone.

    Success = Intent

    So more people are open than I’ve ever seen in my life. You know this network marketing profession is exploding. And so congratulations to each and every one of you. And let’s talk about how to make more money and have more success in 2021. Number one, you want to be intentional. You want to be intentional. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. And like I mentioned right at the beginning of this live, the same thinking and the same behaviors that got you to where you are right now it’s not the same thinking and behaviors that are going to get you to where you want to be.

    So to get to a different place, you’ve got to think differently and behave differently. But here’s the great news. We control both of those things. So you have to be very intentional. If you fail to plan, I’ll get it in a second, then you plan to fail. Another way to look at it as if you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there. So the good news about your business, okay? Let me know if this sounds good to you.

    All right, your business. Here’s the good news. I don’t care what happened in 2020. You can say, “Hey, Darin, I’ve been in my business. I’ve been just treating it like a hobby. You know, I really hadn’t been serious.” You can launch or relaunch your business at any time. And this is a great time to do that, right? Tomorrow it’s a brand new year. So a lot of people are looking for change. They’re looking to improve their health. They’re looking to improve their finances, every aspect of their life. It is a great time of year to really do some self-evaluation and evaluate your business, but you can launch or relaunch your business at any time.

    Personal Growth:

    So what are some of the things that I would encourage you to be very intentional about going into the new year? One is your growth, your personal growth. We don’t make what we want. We make what we are. And if we want to make more, we have to become more. And it used to be really hard to do that. You know, you’d have to travel, you’d have to do all of these things. But because of technology like right now, you’re growing. You’re doing what most people are not willing to do right now.

    It is New Year Eve, right? It’s 11:25 AM Eastern Standard Time or if you watch this on replay, most people aren’t willing to get on here and learn and take notes and grow, but you are because the technology connects us as you can see from Africa, from India, from all over the world in one place. So it’s easy to work on you. What is your personal plan for growth going into the new year? Are you being intentional about that? Do you have a schedule? Right? Because at first we create our habits and our rituals, then the rituals and habits create us. You can’t just accidentally grow. You can’t accidentally go to the top in your company.

    I recommend creating a schedule. So if you look over the next few days, and for me, what I did was I go every morning when I get up, here’s my daily routine, my daily ritual, my daily habits. And by the way, if you want to get rid of a bad habit, you just don’t go, “I’m going to get rid of it.” You have to replace it with another habit. So what are the habits that you want to replace and what are you going to put in those habits? But it could be, “Hey, every morning when I get up and I’m getting ready, I’m taking my shower.” Obviously, I’m not doing my hair, but you may be doing your hair, whatever it may be. Are you listening to a podcast, listening to a training? On the way to work are you making it drive time university?

    Be Intentional with Your Business

    You want to be intentional with your business. If you treat your business casual, it can become a casualty. So do you know what hours you’re working your business throughout the week? If you had a minimum wage job, you would know what your hours were and you would know when you had to be at work, and when you get to clock out. Well, your business has a lot bigger potential than a minimum wage job. But if you just treated it as a minimum wage job when it came to planning your week, like you want to time block.

    Hey, look, I was interviewing a lady not too long ago and she had two kids I think there were three and five-years-old. She’s a teacher, a special ed teacher. She’s like, “Darin, I don’t have a lot of contacts. I don’t have a lot of time. I work full-time and I have two little kids and my husband works full-time.” But what she did was she time blocked. She would show up for work at 5:30 in the morning 30 minutes to an hour early and she would use that time to reach out to people and to follow up with people.

    She would use her lunch break to do the same thing. Then she had a schedule at night like once the kids got in bed or whatever it was. So when you really looked at all of it, it was about two hours a day. Well, two hours a day she goes, “Darin, I work six days a week and Sunday I take off.” So busy mom, two kids, three and five-years-old, special ed teacher, not a lot of contacts, husband works a full-time job, never had success in marketing before, but yet she went and reached out to a hundred to 150 people a week the first two weeks she was in her company.

    And again, you can launch or relaunch your business at any point. And then now she goes, “I reach out to about 10 or 15 people a day and I follow up.” And she does that all within about two hours, but she’s very intentional about the minutes that she works, what she does during those minutes. So what hours if you were telling me, “Hey, Darin, listen, I want you to invest in my business.” And let’s say it’s a publicly traded company. So all the numbers are there for me to see. And if I go, “Okay, well do me a favor and share with me…”

    “Hey, what hours are you working this coming week? What are you going to do during those hours? What is your business plan? Would I want to invest in your business or I go, ‘Hey, no, I’m going to pass.'” So be very intentional with your business. How many hours a week? What are those hours? What will you do during those hours and make sure that you’re focusing on HPAs, high payoff activities or PPAs profit producing activities, be intentional with your health. Do you have a goal of how many ounces of water you’re going to drink a day? I know a good rule of thumb is half your body weight in ounces. So if I weigh 200 pounds, I need to drink at least a hundred ounces of water a day. And I sweat a lot and I work out hard. So for me, I need to drink more than that.

    Be Intentional with Your Health

    Are you being intentional about your health? Are you being intentional when it comes to your family? Here’s what I used to do being transparent. When I was working, I felt guilty that I wasn’t with my family. When I was with my family, I felt guilty because I wasn’t working because I was never present in either one. But when became very intentional building my business and I’m like, “You know what? No, I am laser-focused. I’m driven. Hey kids, if you see my office doors shut, do not come to the doors. I’m not at home right now.” But then when I was with my family, I’m like, “I don’t care who calls. I don’t care if the owner of the company calls, I’m not answering because this is my family time.”


    So be very intentional. Imbalance is a myth. You’re never fully balanced. You’re off balance at certain times of your life. When you’re out there crushing a 90-day running your business, temporarily you’re going to be off balance so you can be very balanced later on, but you want to make sure that you have goals. And you’re very intentional in each of those areas. So that was number one, be intentional. Number two, self-evaluation. Great questions, get great answers. Bad questions, bad answers. And your brain, I’m not going to get into the science, but your brain wants to be right and you have to tell your brain what you want.

    So if I go, “I can’t afford it,” your brain will go into your subconscious mind, which makes more decisions than your conscious brain by the way, 70 to 90,000 thoughts a day, 95% are subconscious. So if you go, “I can’t afford it. I can’t recruit. I can’t get customers.” It will throw into your conscious mind, here are all the reasons that you can’t afford it, you can’t recruit, you can’t sell. So make sure you’re asking the right questions. How can I afford it? How can I grow through these challenging times? How can I add more value to people? How can I become a better recruiter, a better customer getter?

    Ask Great Questions

    So it’s about asking great questions. Questions activate people. So here are the questions, some questions you want to ask yourself and do a self-evaluation as we’re kicking off the new year. What are the reasons that you’re building your business? What are the reasons? Why are you building your business? If I called you right now, we FaceTime then I go, “Listen, I want you to tell me what’s most important to you in your life right now, what would you tell me?” Crystal clear. The clearer the picture of your future, the more goal-directed your actions are on a daily basis. That’s what helps you stay strong enough, long enough as you’re pushing into the new year.

    So what’s most important to you in your life right now, because when things get tough and they’re going to be tough. John Maxwell talks about every day in a leader’s life is an uphill battle. Nothing in life, everything in life that’s worthwhile is an uphill battle, everything. Nothing is a doubt. You don’t accidentally roll into the things that you want in life, right? So you’re going to be pushing. So the only thing that helps you stay strong enough, long enough is knowing why you’re building your business.

    What Do I Want?

    Here’s another thing too. Not only do I recommend figuring out why, do this exercise. I did this recently. I go, “What do I want?” And then what’s the pain that you will experience if you do not go out and give it all you have in 2021 and accomplish your goals and your dreams? So is that going to be memories with your kids that you will miss and never get back because you didn’t go out and stick to what you set out to do, right? Is it going to mean that your family can’t eat as healthy, which means that you may have more health challenges? Does it mean that your family may not be in a safe a car, a vehicle that you would want them to be in? These are all things that I experience.

    So what is the pain that you will experience if you don’t do something different as we go into 2021? What lessons did you learn in 2020? And again, these are all self-evaluation after this training. What did you do well in 2020? Celebrate those wins. Celebrate those successes. How can you be more intentional in 2021? What can you improve on this year? What can you improve on? What are the bad habits that you want to replace? And again, you can’t get rid of a bad habit unless you replace it with something else. So what are the habits you want to replace to create new ones? Focus on what you can do. Okay? So what can I do in every situation that you’re going through every day, focus on what you can do, not what you can’t do. So the question there is, what can I do in this situation? What can I do to achieve my goals and my dreams? What can I do to add more value to others? What can I do to help more people?

    Take Things to the Next Level

    What can I do to make a difference? How can I take things to the next level? What hours can I work each week? What are my high payoff activities during those hours? And again, these are things you can go back and watch in the replay. What rank goals do you have? If you’re in a network marketing company, what rank goals? Do you have incentive goals? What are those things you’re running for? What would you give up over the next 30, 60, 90 days to get something different? To get something different, you must do something different. In every season when being an entrepreneur there’s a season of sacrifice. So there is a point you have to give up some things, give up to go up.


    What will you celebrate along the way? So set up some little reward goals and activities and things that you can celebrate along the way. And then last but not least number three, okay? Number one was be intentional. Number two, self-evaluation, asks questions. Questions activate people. Questions are the answer. Great questions get great answers. And last but not least, accountability. As you go into the new year find someone and I don’t care when you’re listening to these three tips, you can apply these at any point throughout the year. People watching this on YouTube for the next several years. Could be a million people. Like one of my videos is almost at a million. I don’t know. I mean, this video will continue to go.

    This can help you any time. Accountability. Apathy is a natural human instinct common to us all to seek a comfort zone where nothing changes. And feel free to tag people. Share this in your groups with people that you know need to hear these things. Apathy is a natural human instinct common to us all to seek a comfort zone where nothing ever changes. It’s hard to see the picture when you’re in the frame. It’s hard to read the label when you’re in the box. You will never get to where you should be without accountability, period.

    I know how to work out, but why do I have a trainer at the gym? I need accountability. They can see when I’m not doing my form properly, right? They’re going to push me harder than I’ll push when it’s just by myself. I’m going to make excuses. I have spiritual accountability. I have fitness accountability. I have business accountability. Seek out accountability. Find someone that can be your workout partner in your business that can tell you what you need to hear, not necessarily what you want to hear.

    So those three things can really help you close out 2020, kick off your new year in a big way and don’t just take these things lightly. Some of these things have taken me years to learn, but it’s what I’ve implemented that took me from bankrupt to making millions of dollars. It took me from failing for seven years as a network marketing distributor, to building teams of hundreds of thousands all over the world. It took me from not being able to get anyone to join my business to recruiting over a thousand people, to having over a thousand personal customers before social media. Like this stuff do not take it lightly.
